Fatma, you know, the music explorer and art lover in the BeBold-team? She is our always eager to learn Technical Marketing Automation Consultant. What does that mean and what are her day-to-day activities? We asked her!
What are three words which describe you?
What does your day as a Technical Marketing Automation Consultant usually look like? When I arrive at the office in the morning, I immediately walk to the coffee machine to start my day with a nice cup. Then I start my day with two things: I check my inbox and review the list of to-do’s for that day. Once started, I work on my projects and help my colleagues with technical challenges in between. In the evening, I recharge my batteries by spending time with my family, reading, sketching or putting on a series or music.
What does your job involve?
As a Technical Marketing Automation Consultant, it is my job to realize the needs and requirements of customers with the help of my technical insight. I work on different projects and also deal with tickets that come in during the day.
How did you grow into your position?
“There is a solution for everything.” This mindset gives me the perseverance to take on challenges, through which I learn many new things.
Which part of your job gives you the most energy?
I get satisfaction from completing an interesting project. When I finish a project, this means that I was able to help our clients. The feeling of success after building something together gives me satisfaction.
This does not only apply to clients, but also to my colleagues. We are a team that helps each other. Such a close-knit team ensures that I enjoy going to work.
What’s your biggest career performance so far?
My career started this year. I started working in the first week of the lockdown, but I didn’t let these circumstances hinder my growth. Today I work on several projects and help with the functional and technical set-up. Recently, I also started working in-house for a client to grow into a leading consultant position eventually.
Marketing Automation is a tool to tell your story. Services and products only get to be in the spotlight under two conditions. First of all, you need to find the right audience. People should be interested in your products or services and willing to listen. Secondly, you have to pay attention to how to reach these people. Tell your story in a way that makes your audience listen.
The future of Marketing Automation lies in personalization. Where there is data, there are possibilities. As long as progress is made within big data, personalization will continue to reach higher levels. We can look forward to the future since the IT world has been working so hard on this.
Besides the fact that they reach few people, it is counterproductive. One of the great things about Marketing Automation is that it makes things a lot easier. Competitors with automated marketing processes will achieve much more with equal effort and time. Nowadays, Marketing Automation is essential.
I want to keep growing in my function and strengthen my team to achieve higher levels of expertise together. Eventually, I want to take on new challenges and improve existing solutions with new solutions.
