What are three words which describe you?

What does your day as a Marketing Automation Consultant usually look like?

My days almost always start the same way: waking up calmly with a nice breakfast and a hot cup of tea, before starting the working day full of enthusiasm. I read my e-mails, see what’s on the agenda for the day and immediately take action to help our customers in the best possible way. A team meeting here, a brainstorm there; my days are never the same and I love it!

At the end of the day, I like to get some fresh air by running or walking. Then I enjoy a nice meal and plop down on the sofa to binge-watch Friends for the umpteenth time. Because what else can you do during these corona times?

What does your job involve?

As a Functional Marketing Automation Consultant, it’s my job to help clients in the area of Marketing Automation, more specifically with Active Campaign.

Based on workshops, I identify the needs and requirements of the client to start implementing Active Campaign. I offer support in developing campaigns and automations and explain the opportunities of Marketing Automation to the client. I also give training sessions about Active Campaign and am always ready to offer support.

How did you grow into your position as a Functional Marketing Automation Consultant?

How did you grow into your position as a Functional Marketing Automation Consultant? Before starting at BeBold, I fully immersed myself in the world of Marketing Automation and Active Campaign. I took online courses, looked up additional information, and did everything possible to be well prepared. From day one, I got the opportunity to help on a new project where I could immediately test, improve and expand this knowledge. The first couple of weeks, I had a loooot of questions since I wanted to learn as much as possible. Luckily, my lovely colleague Nienke was always there to answer them.

Besides that, I strongly believe in the statement, “There are no secrets to success. It is the result of preparation, hard work and learning from failure.” This means that I’m still learning every day and that all the mistakes I once made, won’t happen a second time (hopefully).

Which part of your job gives you the most energy?

It really gives me an energy boost when I can help our customers grow in Marketing Automation.

Some customers tend to be hesitant initially since Marketing Automation is still a very abstract concept for many. But I love it when I can convince them of the value the tool can bring to their business.

In addition, I also really enjoy being creative and brainstorming about all sorts of things with my colleagues.

What’s your biggest career performance so far?

My biggest career achievement so far is giving my first Active Campaign training to one of our clients. After only 2 months working at BeBold, I was able to share my knowledge with others and I’m very grateful that I got that opportunity.

Besides that, I’m also very proud to be part of our Bold-team. I couldn’t have asked for a better place to work!

What is the definition of Marketing Automation to you?

Through Marketing Automation, you can create timely, relevant and customized communications for your customers and/or prospects.

Data capture makes it possible to respond to a contact’s needs, requirements, and interests by creating personalized e-mails, landing pages, blogs, etc. You can connect all these different channels by creating automatic scenarios/flows based on customer behavior.

Marketing Automation provides an improved customer experience but has also many benefits for the company. It provides increased productivity, ROI and efficiency and makes it easier for Sales to move leads through their sales funnel.

What does the future of Marketing Automation hold?

Marketing Automation will only grow over the years and many more companies will realize the importance that Marketing Automation has for both their customers as their business. It makes it possible to nurture existing customers and attract new ones. It is crucial as a company to always move with the evolutions in the world, and Marketing Automation is one of them.

What are companies that are not yet engaged in Marketing Automation missing out on?

A lot! On the one hand, they miss a lot of opportunities to make their own business processes run more smoothly. Marketing Automation makes it possible to automate important aspects without having to be done manually. This results in more free time that you can spend on other tasks.

On the other hand, they will miss out on potential customers by not sufficiently following up and nurturing them. Through the data capture that comes with marketing automation, it’s possible to send out highly personalized communications at the right time so that you can reach potential customers in the best way.

What’s your goal?

My primary goal is to continue growing in the wonderful world of Marketing Automation. I would like to master the Active Campaign platform to offer my clients the best possible service. In addition, I would also like to learn more about all the other aspects we focus on within BeBold so I can assist my colleagues in difficult decisions.
